This drama tells the story of Qingcheng County, once a prosperous and fertile land renowned far and wide for its clothing-making culture. As its younger generations gradually left to seek work elsewhere, only the elderly and children remained to guard the homeland, leading to the gradual fading of its exquisite garment-crafting techniques. Princess Sheng Taotao (played by Mao Na), born with a love for beauty, witnessed the unique tailoring skills of the elders alongside General Mo Li (played by Chen Ziyou) during her exile to the fiefdom, and resolved to revive and promote this craft. Through a series of initiatives led by Sheng Taotao, the imperial court issued the "Elder Support Decree," introducing innovative practices for elderly care. By promoting a culture of respect, love, and support for the aged, along with filial piety, and by creating re-employment opportunities for seniors to harness their experience and craftsmanship, stunning garments were produced. This revitalized Qingcheng’s trade and commerce, attracting many young people back to work and restoring prosperity to the region.
